Keyvan Esfarjani Joins MetOx Board of Directors to Power Industrial-Scale Execution
Houston, TX, August 19, 2025 — MetOx International (MetOx), announced that Keyvan Esfarjani has joined its Board of Directors and will chair MetOx’s industry-leading Technical Advisory Group (TAG). Esfarjani is a global business, technical, and operations leader with more than 30 years of experience in strategy and execution across the high-tech industry, including, most recently, serving as EVP and Chief Global Operations Officer at Intel. MetOx is pioneering the scaled production of high-temperature superconducting (HTS) wire for next-generation energy transmission infrastructure, including applications for grid infrastructure, data centers and AI, fusion energy generation, medical diagnostics, and many other advanced technologies.
“MetOx is scaling our business and breakthrough technology to be a dependable supply for customers who build the future,” said Bud Vos,President & CEO of MetOx. “Keyvan’s career has been defined by leading some of the most complex manufacturing technologies and operations at massive scale, including industry-leading semiconductor fabs, assembly, packaging, and the mega-scale infrastructure that supports them. He brings strategic leadership and executional rigor that will help us industrialize HTS wire with the quality, reliability, and pace the market requires.”
For nearly three decades at Intel, Esfarjani rose through the Technology and Manufacturing Group to leading the company’s global manufacturing and operations. He has deep expertise in flash, logic, and chipset technologies, moving programs from early development into high-volume factories, and oversaw worldwide manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, quality, and the large-scale buildout of fabs and data centers.
“Power has become one of the greatest constraints to scaling AI adoption. Our tech and utility industries must lead real innovation and do it sustainably. High-temperature superconductivity is one of these breakthroughs that must go mainstream to unlock new possibilities such as fusion reactors, lossless transmission, and a new era in power delivery,” said Esfarjani. “MetOx has a fantastic team and is uniquely positioned to lead this transformation with its demonstrated technologies. As a board member, I’m committed to advancing MetOx’s technical direction, manufacturing scale, and business strategies.”
Now actively advising, investing, and forging partnerships, Esfarjani focuses on accelerating adoption at scale, particularly for AI infrastructure, advanced manufacturing, and technology-driven growth. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Industrial Engineering & Operations Research from Purdue University and is an alumnus of the Stanford Executive Program (SEP) at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Mr. Vos concluded, “We are poised for dramatic scale, and this addition to our Board of Directors shows our commitment to this vision. We welcome Keyvan to the MetOx Board of Directors and as Chair of our Technical Advisory Group. I believe Keyvan will have an immediate and outsized impact on fulfilling our vision while working in partnership with our marquee investors and our management team.”
“MetOx has the technology, the world class team, and operating mindset to bring HTS to scale for enabling applications like fusion reactors, efficient power grids, and more. I am excited to work with the MetOx Board, Bud Vos and the team to help drive this transformation for the mass market, supporting U.S. energy security and infrastructure readiness.”
